Chapter 9 of 12

9. What DACS Makes Explicit

DACS focuses on decision-control points that are often implicit, fragmented, or left to interpretation. It explicitly demonstrates:

  • How Business Identity becomes accountable for a stated decision scope;
  • How semantic meaning becomes governed and physically anchored;
  • How classification becomes testable through the Extended Taxonomy;
  • How relationships become governed, oriented, evidenced, and constrained through the Extended Ontology;
  • How discovery is separated from decision-ready use;
  • How relationship-vector criteria govern use rather than merely describe risk;
  • How context, usage boundaries, Gates, and readiness states become part of the decision path;
  • How AI inputs, outputs, inferred relationships, generated classifications, recommendations, and drift are tested against the Binding AI Context Contract;
  • How decision paths can be reconstructed beyond technical lineage; and
  • How structured evidence records support Defensible Analytics.

This is not a claim that existing platforms, vendors, or consultancies lack value. Many are essential to the enterprise stack. DACS clarifies their boundary.

Tools can move, expose, document, model, govern, and automate information. But the enterprise still needs a control specification that defines what must be true before information is treated as ready for its stated use in a material decision scope.

That specification is DACS.
