12. Closing Declaration
Defensible Analytics begins when the material basis of a decision is no longer implicit.
The organization can identify the governed evidence relied upon, the controls evaluated, the Gate Record and readiness state, and the conditions that permitted use.
DACS makes those conditions testable. The resulting records show what passed, what failed, what remains constrained or Quarantined, and what action, if any, is required before readiness can advance.
The test is whether responsible people can apply the controls consistently and preserve enough evidence to make material decision paths reconstructable, explainable, and defensible.
The DACS commitment is simple: make the material basis explicit, test it against applicable controls, record the permitted next step, and preserve enough evidence to reconstruct the decision later.
If required evidence cannot establish the conditions for the stated use, the decision path cannot be represented as DACS-conformant. DACS does not promise perfect decisions; it makes the basis for material decisions testable, reconstructable, challengeable, and defensible.
