Chapter 18 of 19

18. Annex F: Companion Document Status and Future Profiles (Informative)

The following documents are current, planned, or candidate companion materials. They support adoption, assessment, remediation, training, implementation, reference alignment, claims governance, and ecosystem development. Publication status may change independently of this specification. No companion material creates normative DACS requirements unless those requirements are explicitly incorporated by a published DACS release.

F.1 Companion Specifications

Status boundary: Each F.1 item is a planned companion specification unless DataVaultAlliance Holdings LLC separately publishes it. Until publication, it is not independently normative, and the requirements in this DACS Specification remain authoritative.

DACS Extended Taxonomy Specification: expands requirements for physical semantic anchoring, business identifiers, semantic grain, source-system representation, authority, provenance, readiness, risk, and usage boundaries.

DACS Extended Ontology Specification: expands requirements for governed relationship meaning, physical relationship anchoring, relationship vectors, orientation, permitted and prohibited paths, relationship discovery, assertion provenance, constraints, and decision-scope readiness.

DACS Evidence Object, Gate Record, and Conformance Record Specification: extends the minimum structured fields defined in this specification with reusable evidence-object schemas, control-result records, Gate Record and Conformance Record schemas, readiness-state payloads, review conditions, export expectations, validation rules, and exchange patterns.

DACS AI Context Contract and Context Enforcement Specification: defines Binding AI Context Contract structure, context enforcement patterns, permitted and prohibited paths, AI input/output evidence, drift testing, violations, and consequences.

F.2 Assessment, Remediation, and Adoption Materials

DACS Pass/Fail and Remediation Catalog: provides control-by-control test procedures, pass/fail interpretation, acceptable evidence patterns, common failure modes, remediation paths, repeatable-fix patterns, examples, non-examples, and readiness-state guidance without replacing the normative controls.

DACS Assessment Guide and Example Workbook: provides worked examples, sample evidence packets, assessor prompts, sampling patterns, Gate examples, Quarantined, Caution, and Stop examples, and hands-on verification exercises.

DACS First Look Pilot Kit: provides the method, capture forms, and working plan for one bounded decision path. It begins with the Day One exercise and continues one day at a time only when the evidence justifies the next, for no more than five business days. Each day produces a usable outcome and a stop, remediate, or continue decision. Outputs include the Readiness Snapshot, Defensibility Scorecard, evidence package, unresolved findings, remediation backlog, and next-step recommendation as supported by the work. Continuing assessment does not authorize material use or establish conformance.

DACS Defensibility Scorecard and Measurement Guide: defines findings, descriptive counts, operating measurements, populations, evidence, exclusions, and interpretation. It reports recorded DACS determinations without creating a composite score, percentage rating, grade, or probability of defensibility.

DACS Practitioner Playbook and Adoption Guide: provides implementation patterns, post-First-Look operating practices, stakeholder roles, workshop guidance, operating cadence, remediation loops, evidence review patterns, and practical adoption sequences.

DACS Capability Levels and Organizational Adoption Guide: defines Levels 0-5 across a declared organizational boundary, with criteria, evidence, progression, reassessment, retention or loss of a level, and public-claims boundaries. It does not replace the decision-scope requirements in this specification.

F.3 Ecosystem, Claims, and Reference Alignment Materials

DACS Public Claims and Terminology Use Guide: defines approved and prohibited uses of DACS terms, including DACS conformance, DACS alignment, conformance and readiness claims, vendor adherence, tool-support claims, partner claims, training authorization, and certification claims.

DACS External Reference Alignment Guide: maps DACS controls to adjacent standards, frameworks, and implementation artifacts and clarifies when external artifacts may serve as evidence inputs for DACS controls.

DACS Vendor Adherence Specification: defines how tools, platforms, vendors, and service providers may evidence support for DACS controls without claiming broad product certification unless such a program is separately published.

DACS Authorized Training and Partner Enablement Guide: provides partner-onboarding expectations, authorized delivery patterns, instructor enablement, feedback collection, and co-marketing boundaries. It does not establish decision-scope conformance, vendor certification, or product certification.

F.4 Future Profiles

Future-profile boundary: Future profiles are candidate extensions only. They are not normative unless incorporated into a future published DACS release.

DACS Agentic Operation Profile: defines additional controls for AI agents or automated workflows that recommend, initiate, route, approve, or execute material actions.
